Avocado Chocolate Mousse

This avocado chocolate mousse dessert is as good as it gets. It’s the perfect sweet treat that’s really tasty and decadent, but also healthy and figure-friendly at the same time. You’ll never guess it’s not real chocolate mousse or even made with avocado.

Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Prep Time: 5 minutes




  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled
  • ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch a small pinch of salt


  1. Mash the avocado with your Indy Chef potato ricer and transfer to a large bowl.
  2. Add in the maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until there are no green avocado bits left and the mousse is silky smooth. Depending on how thick or thin you like your mousse, you can add the almond milk to thin it out.
  3. Chill thoroughly before serving and enjoy!

Recipe Notes:

Tip: Decorate the mousse with a bit of sweet whipped cream (or whipped coconut cream for a vegan version) and fresh raspberries.
